The sun made a rare and welcome appearance as Hayden took to the slopes of Martock for the annual Martock Cup race held on February 15th.
As the sole para racer, Hayden and his new guide, Thom Oulton were first to race for both heats of the slalom event.
After a few practice runs the night before, Hayden and Thom burned down the hill as though they had been skiing together for years. It was plainly apparent they were both proud of their runs as they congratulated each other once across the finish line.
Hayden and Thom proudly climbed the podium to receive their gold medals for the day’s event. And more importantly, the pair celebrated their new friendship off the podium.
