Every year, Petro-Canada’s Fuelling Athletes and Coaching Excellence (FACE) program provides grants to 55 athletes nation-wide. According to the FACE website, they provide these grants to athletes when they need it most – when they are striving to represent Canada at the Paralympic or Olympic Games but don’t yet qualify for government funding.

Hayden’s excitement at being selected for the grant was summed up in that simple exclamation. Both Hayden and his coach, a co-recipient of the offering are honored and humbled to have received the grant, and are very appreciative of what Petro-Canada’s FACE progam offers athletes and coaches as they prepare for a chance to qualify for Olympic and Para-Olympics sports.
